Art Therapy & Somatic CounselingMy practice is often full. I do not use a waitlist system because it is hard to manage and attend to fairly. |
Life is practice. Love is practice. Joy is a practice. Perfectionism, comparison, criticism, and judgement are internalized and systemic blockades to connection, spontaneity, and joy. As community members, let's work together to remind ourselves of our humanness, our needs, and our joy. Calling Humans who are narrating their identities and managing social action; Queer adults and teens exploring relationship, creativity, and empowerment; Artists and creatives deepening their creative practice, and exploring themselves through art supplies, movement, sound and/or word; Therapists needing support to continue their work; Students who are finding their way and exploring their passions; Parents who are learning to love themselves and their family in spite of the challenges. We will center the wisdom that you already hold, the resources and joy that you want to amplify, and creatively unpack the challenges that you face. The connection between our thoughts, embodied responses, emotional experience and behavior can be understood when witnessed and reflected. As a practitioner, I encourage community members to attend to what is alive and what is hidden in the group and the individual's experience. I encourage participants to center joy and resources. We will use art supplies and attend to how your body naturally moves!
