Therapy & Supervision in Small Communities

This will be a creative and somatic exploration of these nuanced topics and experiences. All three workshops will offer different explorations of the ethics of being a therapist and supervisor working within queer communities. Art Supplies and refreshments included for the in-person workshops.

  • Explore dual / multiple relationships as related to local and national ethical codes off Mental Health Counseling, Expressive Arts & Art Therapy fields. 
  • Use creative and somatic techniques to evaluate one's ethical boundaries as a therapist and a supervisor in a small community. 
  • Identify strategies to communicate directly with clients and supervisees about interpersonal boundaries and small community dynamics.
  • Understand the ethical importance of cultural humility and competence when working within queer / LBGTQIA++ communities.
